It’s time for another session of our favorite day of the week! Free Tuesdays is about museums that open their doors to the public free of charge. This week we will be featuring the Pelham Art Center in Pelham, NY and the Bendheim Gallery at the Greenwich Arts Council on ‘The Avenue’ in Greenwich, CT.

Currently the Bendheim Gallery is featuring the works of Fereshteh Priou. With beautiful simplicity, her ink on paper evokes effortless movement. Born in Iran, studied in Paris, and a longtime resident of Connecticut, Priou is a member of the Greenwich Arts Council and Connecticut Portrait Artists. She uses simple lines in order to express the beauty of the human form. Her works will be on view through the month of April. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Curious Exploration isn’t your grandma’s art exhibit! Humorous film stills and mechanical forms invite people to use their imaginations, and feel like a kid again. The exhibit will be open through April 2nd and the artists included are Lien Chen Lin, Scott Fitzgerald, Andrea Goldman, Fernando Orellana, Arthur Ganson and Becky Sellinger. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10am–5pm and Saturday from 12pm-4pm.

Both of these galleries are open to the public completely free of charge. If you would like to make a donation to help keep these venues free to the public, please visit the websites below.
